Stephanie’s Monster Truck by Bricksky

Stephanie's Monster TruckFlickr user Tyler Sky (Bricksky) created this Monster Truck model for Stephanie. It features four wheel suspension, front steering, and a place for her pet poodle. He makes excellent use of rare silver elements in the shocks and engine. The whole model is excellent and I would have no problem buying this set for my daughter if this was a real set. My favorite part has to be the aggressive hubcaps.

5000245 Stephanie Review

5000245-Stephanie-1Here is another polybag set for Stephanie…yes just Stephanie and nothing else.  This is kind of a pointless set in my opinion because there’s nothing to really talk about. This particular version of Stephanie is available in three other sets: 3063 Heartlake Flying Club, 30105 Mailbox (which we just reviewed), and 3183 Stephanie’s Cool Convertible, so this version is not really that hard to get. It would have been nice to have her in a new outfit to make it worth acquiring one. I suppose I can mention that the set includes a blue 2×2 brick which acts as the stand for the mini-doll.  Also my three year-old daughter took Stephanie’s hairpiece and tried to put it on her own head and said “that’s not for me.”  She then proceeded to put it on my head as well.  I thought that was just too cute not to share! 5000245-Stephanie-2Here’s what the packaging looked like:

30105 Mailbox Review

30105_Mailbox_1

This polybag set consists of MiniDoll figure Stephanie, a mailbox with letter, and an outdoor market vendor cart selling flowers, candy and/or cupcakes.

The mailbox is very similar to the one from Day 17 of the advent calendar.  The only differences are the mailbox top which comes to a tapered point and the letter itself which has different graphics.

In my opinion, the highlight is the street market cart because it certainly feels like an early reference to Valentine’s Day…with the huge red heart hanging above and the obvious display of flowers and treats.  I think this could be a preview of more sweetness to come!
